What is a CAROM?

A rebounding, especially at an angle... (says the dictionary)
or it could stand for:

Creative Activities Resulting in Offbeat Mathematics

Carom runs from October halfterm through to Easter, a total of 18 sessions.
Some of us get together each Monday lunchtime, 12.00 to 12.45, in L1.1,
to bounce a few maths ideas off like-minded people.
The aim is to look at some sweet mathematics from off the syllabus for a few minutes each week.
An investigative approach is useful! You will find us in L1.1: why not bring your lunch?
Some of the topics we might be looking at:

1. Least Road Problem
2. Perfect and Mersenne Numbers
3. Coincidences
